From its inception in February 2016 to its incorporation in May 2018, the company has grown from a one‑person startup into a trusted multidisciplinary solutions provider serving clients across Pennsylvania and the surrounding region.
A Beginning Sparked by Change
The story of JB Technical Solutions began at a pivotal moment for founder Joshua P. Brown. In 2016, while working as a Project Engineer at Pangborn Corporation – one of the world’s premier surface‑preparation equipment manufacturers – Joshua learned that the company would be closing its local engineering office. Unwilling to relocate his family from South Central Pennsylvania to the company’s new headquarters near Atlanta, he began searching for a new professional path.
One evening, while repairing a friend’s or relative’s computer, inspiration struck. That simple act sparked the idea of starting an IT service company – an idea that quickly transformed into a business plan, and eventually into JB Technical Solutions.
Joshua used his engineering background, technical problem‑solving skills, and dedication to customer service to launch the company in February 2016 with a focus on computer repair, IT support, and small‑business technology solutions. He also knew that once his current employment ended, he would expand the company into CAD drafting and mechanical design, building on nearly three decades of industrial design experience.
By 2018, the company was incorporated, and growing demand for CAD services led to the hiring of one or more draftsmen – later followed by an IT technician as the MSP (Managed Service Provider) division expanded.
