Since its inception in 2016, JB Technical Solutions has been at the forefront of addressing the dynamic needs of businesses in the CAD and IT services sector. Our roots can be traced back to the early 1990s when our founder, Joshua Brown, captivated by the design potential offered by a DOS-based AutoCAD 2D Computer-Aided Drafting system, set forth on a journey into the realm of computers and technology.
With a career trajectory initially aimed at Mechanical Engineering, Josh’s path naturally led him into the realm of Computer-Aided Design/Drafting. Utilizing the opportunity to graduate high-school prepared for college as well as articulated credits through the Mechanical Engineering and Design Graphics program at the Frederick County Career & Technology Center, Josh began work before graduation at a local custom metal fabricator, before heading off to college. Fueled by a commitment to staying abreast of the latest technologies, he accumulated expertise in CAD platforms like AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, Pro-E Wildfire, and Helix (MicroCadam).
Drawing from over two decades of experience in mechanical design and project management, Josh founded JB Technical Solutions. The company’s early focus on PC repair and maintenance quickly evolved to fully utilize Josh’s skillset and meet the demands of the market. Today, JB Technical Solutions is positioned as a comprehensive drafting/design-based service with IT capabilities, serving the needs of local manufacturers and businesses.
Our company is dedicated to adaptability, addressing the varied requirements of businesses at the local, regional, and national levels. Whether it’s providing on-site support for CAD detailing/designing or CNC programming, or offering offsite design/detailing services from concept to completion. We customize our solutions to accommodate a diverse spectrum of needs. Although our primary expertise originally lied in the Mechanical Design field, we have expanded into other disciplines such as Architectural Millwork. Concurrently, we continue to uphold our original services tailored for small business and residential IT needs.
Notably, our proficiency in building custom PCs for CAD and small business environments has expanded to include Custom Gaming PCs. This allows our customers to customize their builds according to their preferences, showcasing our commitment to delivering personalized solutions for a wide range of technical challenges.
